WHO IS FOLLANSBEE SWIM TEAM?
Follansbee Swim Team (FST) was founded in 1986. FST is a not-for-profit volunteer led organization. For 29 years it was only a summer recreational club in June / July competing in the local Ohio Valley Swim League (OVSL).
In winter of 2015, Follansbee Swim Team had its first "winter" practice schedule.
2016 Follansbee Swim Team began competing year-round by joining WCPSL (Western Central Pennsylvania Swim League) for the winter season. Winter season typically starts in Sept and ends in March.
FST provides a fun, competitive swim program that encourages and emphasizes good sportsmanship and individual responsibility. Team members are encouraged to achieve personal as well as team goals. Through regularly scheduled practices, the FST strives to improve the physical fitness of our youth through stroke development and improvement. It is the policy of FST to maximize participation of all swimmers in scheduled swim meets, creating a well-rounded appriciation for the sport.
