On Saturday July 12, 2025, FST will host the Cindy Smith Invitational. This is a traveling invitational held to honor the memory of a long serving OVSL swim official/ president. We are asking for a small army to come help work this meet. We are also asking for a small army to come earn another TEAM CHAMPION trophy!!!

Eligible Swimmers: This is an age group meet and thus; this meet is only open for 18 and younger swimmers. No college swimmers, master swimmers, coaches, or others permitted and no floaties. Swimmers should be in good standing with their team.

Location: Brooke High School Wellness Center 29 Bruin Drive, Wellsburg, WV 26070 (6 lanes, 25 meters; Semi-Automatic Dolphin timing with manual backup)

Start Time: Warm up times will be determined as soon as all teams are entered with later times being given to the farthest away teams. Coaches meeting will be at 8:50 am. Meet will begin at 9:00 am. FST SWIMMERS WILL HAVE THE FIRST WARM UP TIME - EST 7AM

Timers/Officials/Penn: Each team will be assigned at least 1 lane to provide timers throughout the day. Lane assignments will be given at a later date. Please have your volunteers report to the blocks prior to the start of the meet for a meeting.

Seeding: This is a pre-seeded event. There will be no deck entries. No times will be accepted. 

Entry Fees: Individual Event: $2/per event per swimmer; Relay Event: $4/per event per team

Entry Limitations: Each swimmer may swim up to 5 individual events and 2 relays. Full first and last names, and dateof births are required. There is no limit to the number of swimmers or relays a team may enter. Relays are mixed—at least 1 male/female on each relay. Three Swimmer relays will be considered Exhibition and will not score. Relay swim ups are permitted.

Deadline: All entries must be received no later than 7/9 at 7pm.  

Scoring: Scoring will be from 1st-8th place. Relay points are double.

Awards: There will be awards for individual high points as well as runner-up in each age group. Individual/Relay awards will be given for 1st-8th place. Team and runner-up trophy will also be awarded.

Age Groups: Boys and girls:8&U; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14; 15-18.

Rules: National Federation Rules apply. Logo rules on caps will not be enforced. Fly over starts will be utilized in events when it is safe and expedient to do so.

Events: See attached for event list. Both 10U and 11-18 have 10 available individual events. The 10U and 11-18 events will be swum together but will be scored out by age group for award purposes. Swimmers pick their own events. If they are registered and events are not chosen by 7/9 at 7pm, coaches reserve the right to chose events for you.
